LG G7+ ThinQ Initial Impressions

LG has finally played their best move for 2018 for which we all were curiously waiting for. LG announced in May about the LG G7+ ThinQ but there were no official confirmations of when it would have been launched. Now, LG G7+ ThinQ has been launched in India for Rs.39,900/- and will be available exclusively on Flipkart.com from 10th August. You could also hope to see offers as Flipkart would launch their Flipkart Big Freedom Sale. Today, we will review the LG G7+ ThinQ smartphone on the basis of its features and specifications by closely comparing it with other rival smartphones. So, without much spilling the beans, let's start the process:

LG G7+ ThinQ Design

LG G7+ ThinQ has a 19.5:9 aspect ratio which means it has a notched display which is completely inspired by iPhone X. Going down the end, you will spot the Boombox speakers which has a 7.1 channel: DTS 3D: Surround Sound Support and Hi-Fi Quad DAC. It also has a Type-C USB Port which was as expected. At the back, you will spot dual rear cameras with the fingerprint sensor. LG officials said that the fingerprint sensor is one of the quickest and safest features of all. Many flagship smartphones nowadays don't have a 3.5mm headphone jack but don't worry about this device as you get a 3.5mm headphone jack. The design-build looks very premium as it is made of Aluminium frame. Overall, I don't have any complaints regarding the design quality of this device.

LG G7+ ThinQ Display

Now, there are a lot of things to talk about Display specifications of LG G7+ ThinQ smartphone. It has 1000 nits brightness along with Super Bright FullVision Display which means I guarantee you that there is no other smartphone on the market that has the better display than LG G7+ ThinQ. LG has paid special attention to this department. The reason why LG has done this was to avoid the screen-flickering issue being seen in other smartphones like OnePlus 6, Samsung Galaxy S9+. Also, there is QHD+ Display which has a screen resolution of 1440x3120 pixels and you will admit it has the best display features.

LG G7+ ThinQ Camera

I don't have enough information to describe how I wanted to tell you all about the camera specifications for G7+ ThinQ smartphone but since I have specifications, I would not hesitate to tell you about this.

G7+ ThinQ has dual rear cameras of 16MP+16MP with AI Recognition feature that focuses on the object rather than the background for a perfect Bokeh shot. Unfortunately, we don't have live images of its camera but I guess it would look amazing.

On the front, it has an 8MP shooter for clicking selfies which I personally think less for a flagship smartphone as nowadays, we see 16MP or 20MP front cameras. But I guess LG is not too weak to let it go.

LG G7+ ThinQ Performance

LG G7+ ThinQ is powered by Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC which is currently the best processor in the smartphone industry, so there is no chance we can ignore this fact. If you don't know about this processor, then let me tell you, SDM 845 SoC is a battery efficient processor which avoids the heating issue as well. So, you will not face any difficulties through the processor.

G7+ ThinQ has Adreno 630 GPU for graphics performance, the same which is used in OnePlus 6. So, you can expect a smooth gaming like PUBG and Fornite Mobile. I'm sure there will no glitches or any kind of lags.

Lastly, there is a 6GB LPDDR4X RAM which is enough to bear all kinds of process. Additionally, there is 128GB Internal Storage which can be expanded up to 2TB.

So, I think I would have to give 10/10 on the basis of its performance features.

LG G7+ ThinQ Battery

LG G7+ ThinQ has a small 3000mAH Battery but since it is using Snapdragon 845SoC which is a battery efficient processor, it will easily run up to 1.5 working days depending upon your usage. If you are a heavy smartphone user, it will easily run up to 1 working day. On an average, it will give an on-screen time of about 8 hours.

LG G7+ ThinQ Pros and Cons

  • Flagship processor
  • 7.1 Surround System
  • Notched Display
  • QHD+ Display

  • 8MP front camera
  • Low battery
  • No 256GB variant

LG G7+ ThinQ will be available on Flipkart from 10th August starting from Rs.39990/- which will strong competition to OnePlus 6. If you compare, there are some new features added in G7+ ThinQ which makes it more authentic and amazing. If you are a technical person and know about these features in-depth, you will realize it has some additional features than other rival flagship smartphones. Overall, I would say it is one heck of a flagship smartphone.
