Oppo was once famous for their front cameras. Their AI enabled front camera is the only feature that distinguishes them from others. Oppo was not initially indulged in Research and Development field but once they came to know the fact they will not be successful if they copy others, they have been struggling a lot to make better and innovative smartphones. One such brilliant example is the Oppo Find X which has a completely new feature. Now, you would not require the camera on the screen, instead, it would be popped every time you need. Let me tell you, Oppo Find X is the first and only smartphone who has done this in the field of cameras. I got this review unit for about a week and I used their device thoroughly. So, let us review this Oppo Find X on the basis of each and every aspect and make it a wonderful review at the end. So, without much ado, let’s move to the review:

Oppo Find X Display
When Oppo Find X was launched, I thought Oppo would again copy the iPhone X design and kill their own art. But what really blew my mind was the fact, Oppo has gone for ultra-thin bezels this time. There’s an unbelievable 93.8% of the screen-to-body ratio which means they don’t even have the position for the camera to be placed on the screen.
Talking about the display section, you get a 6.42 inches OLED panel which is a flagship-feature. But the thing I hate about its display is it still has Full HD+ resolution unlike QHD+ as we expected a good kind of display. Unfortunately, I would say the display section is not too good yet it is comparable to some other flagship smartphones.
Oppo Find X Design
Talking about the design, I guess this is going to be one of the best designs of 2018 era of smartphones. Due to the ultra-thin bezels on the front, there is no selfie camera on the front. Instead, Oppo has innovated a new technique for this. It is going to be a pop-up camera. Now, how cool is this feature. Basically, this is not even a feature. This is basically a mindful technique which Oppo has implemented in their smartphones. Whatever it may be, I think it’s going to be one of the most trending things of 2018.
Surprisingly, there is no fingerprint sensor in the Oppo Find X but let me tell you, Oppo has launched a new feature for facial unlocking known as O-Face. Although, O-Face is not that good as iPhone’s Face ID still it can be one of the best security features.
Oppo Find X has a USB Type C port in its bottom side but what’s disappointing to their fans is the missing 3.5mm headphone jack. Always remember that it’s not an Apple product so ultimately, it won’t go in favor for Oppo.
Oppo Find X Camera
Oppo is always known for their cameras so it was pretty much expected that the camera would be rocking in this smartphone as well. To very much extent, Oppo heard this from all of their fans and added some of the best camera hardware on this device.
The front camera is as being told, a 25MP Artificial Intelligence enabled camera which is hidden at first but within a single touch would pop-up the camera. Also, it would take less than a second to open the front camera and click some wonderful selfies.
Talking about the quality of the front camera, it is as a usual wonderful camera with decent image qualities. I took some of the selfies and found it pretty much useful.
On the other hand, there is a dual rear camera setup of 16MP and 20MP. It has various features and can even record videos up to 4k quality. The image quality of the rear camera is also wonderful as I clicked some of the night shots.
The bokeh effect is also pretty much accurate and focuses on the object rather than the environment. Overall, I could give straight away 10 points to its camera
Oppo Find X Performance
Oppo Find X is loaded with the latest and powerful processors of all time, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC which is still a flagship processor. Talking about the processor, there are no complaints as it is the best in this smartphone industry. Even if I try to compare this with HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC, Snapdragon 845 SoC still wins by a bigger margin.
Secondly, Oppo Find X has Adreno 630 GPU which is perfect for gaming and other graphics usages. I played many heavy games like PUBG, Asphalt 8, Fifa 2018 and found no glitches or lags. No other words to say as it is best in the market.
Thirdly, it has 8GB RAM with 256GB Internal Storage. It doesn’t have any expandable slot but I don’t think it would be needed when you already have 256GBs in your smartphone. The meaning of 8GB RAM means you have enough restoring memory on your device making it more easy to manage different android apps.
Oppo Find X Battery
Oppo Find X has a non-removable 3730 mAH Li-ion battery which could easily last for about 1.5 days. As you all must know there is Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC which is a battery efficient processor, so it consumes very less battery and would probably help you out there. Also, it has fast charging ability of VOOC Charge which can charge up to 5V/4A.
Under my surveillance, it took me around 1.5 hours to completely charge the device and around 30 hours to drain completely where I used this device even for gaming purposes. Find X has an onscreen time of approximately 6 hours.
Pros and Cons
- Efficient processor
- Pop-up camera
- Ultra thin bezels
- No 3.5mm headphone jack
- No QHD Display
