There are various reasons why you would want to unlock your boot loader; you were trying to unlock several features on your phone or trying to simplify it but either way, you should be able to do it with ease. Ever since its launch by Motorola last year, the moto G6 has swapped out the metal for the glass frame, making it all the more attractive in the process. And yes, the glass in question is tempered and is designed to withstand most drops as well as pressure but it definitely gives the phone a new allure. Moving on, once you have bought the moto G6 and wanted to know how to unlock the boot loader and at the same time do away with warning messages, do read on.
And as with every other android, you can unlock the boot loader on your moto G6, set up flashing custom recoveries, and tweak the phone so that it performs better or as per your preference. But while the process to unlock the boot loader is quite simplified on Moto G6, it never the less comes with an irritating snag. Each time you tweak your phone or reboot it, you are bound to come across flashing warning messages regarding the fact that your boot loader is unlocked.
The good news is that you can now tweak the phone to do away with these warning messages and should be able to move on. The OEM has even published a guide on the Motorola website on how to unlock your boot loader so do review the same. Before you get started, you need to make sure that your phone has the latest Moto drivers along with android SDK platform tool.
Please remember that changing even the settings on your android can impact how your phone continues to function and that’s why unlocking the boot loader is not something that should be taken lightly. If you end up making a mistake, then your phone could just fail to reboot again.
That’s a scenario you would definitely need to avoid - so read the guide, download the required files and have to all installed or downloaded, before you move on to unlocking the boot loader. Just make a checklist and see if you have everything you need before you move onto the next stage of the process.
Once you have downloaded and installed the required files and have consulted the guide, just start following these steps in sequential order
Head over to settings on your phone, and under developer options, tick USB debugging options
Also use developer options to unlock OEM
Make sure that you install ADB and fast boot if you have not done so already
Note the location of the logo.bin file and store the same in the same folder as the fast boot
Now turn off the smart phone, disconnect it from other devices and get it ready
Now hold the power and volume buttons down for six seconds and kick in the boot loader
And as the boot loader screen starts flashing on your screen, connect the phone to the computer
On your pc, browse through the various files till you locate the logo.bin file, now click by pointing at an empty space in the window, and remember to hold the shift key down at the same time. This should enable you to select ‘open command window here’ – choose it
Now you can use the command window to launch several commands, namely use the following command in the command box ‘fastboot flashlogo logo.bin.
This command sets the boot logo to the logo.bin and once you have done that, you can now run fastboot reboot command and get your phone to reboot.
With this, you should be able to remove all the warning messages; again if you are not sure about what you are doing, then you may want to take it to a professional and get your phone customized as per your preference. But this is how you go about flushing down the warning messages when it comes to Moto G6 and G6 plus.
