5 common mistakes done in Xiaomi Mi 6x (Mi A2)

Xiaomi has launched its Mi 6X or Indian version of Mi A2 in China today and let me tell you, the smartphone is way more awesome than it was previous one. Xiaomi has taken care of the smallest things they could have thought but admist of all these factors, Xiaomi did some of the silliest mistakes. Before discussing anything, let's see the specifications which are provided in Mi 6X:

  • 5.99 inches Full HD+ display
  • Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC
  • 4GB/6GB RAM
  • 64GB/128GB Internal Memory
  • 12MP+20MP Dual rear camera setup
  • 20MP selfie camera
  • 3010 mAH Battery

But not every smartphone is a perfect one and thus I pointed out some of the common mistakes done in Mi 6X. So, what are we waiting for, let's see the common 5 mistakes in Mi 6X:

1. Design

Xiaomi is almost out of new designs. Every smartphone they launch have almost same designs. Be it Redmi 5, Redmi 5 Plus, Redmi Note 5 Pro, Redmi Note 5 or the all new Mi 6X, the designs are almost same. Although, they have introduced 18:9 aspect ratio which is a wonderful thing, but it gets very confusing for the customers to point out the difference in Xiaomi smartphones. Now this is where I personally feel Xiaomi has 0 improvements.

2. Hybrid Sim Slot

Xiaomi Mi 6X have a Hybrid Sim Slot which means either you can insert two Nano SIM cards or one Nano SIM and microSD card. However, the minimum storage variant is 64GB but nowadays, it wouldn't take too much long to fill this space as well. There should have been a dedicated microSD card slot for users to extend the storage capacity but let's assume it's okay for Mi 6X.

3. No 3.5mm headphone jack

This is the most shocking part due to which I'm mostly writing this blog. Apparantly, Xiaomi thought of comparing this smartphone with Apple iPhone 7 Plus and refused a headphone jack. They forgot the fact that Mi 6X is still a mid-range smartphone and people would love to listen songs on radio or mp3 using 3.5 mm headphone jack. There would be very less people buying bluetooth speakers or bluetooth headsets specially for this device. This is devastating.

4. Battery

When I thought of Mi 6X, mine initial impressions were still located on the battery. In Mi A1, they gave 3080 mAH battery and I was hoping Xiaomi would extend this battery in its upcoming smartphone model. But the opposite happened, as in Mi 6X you get only 3010 mAH battery which would hardly last a typical working day. Not too impressed, if you have to charge your smartphone twice a day.

5. No Stock Android

Yes, Mi 6X is launched with MIUI 9.5 and not with Stock Android. It may contain additional bloatwares and pre-installed apps which you can't delete. This is not a problem to me but I personally prefer Stock version of android due to their extended battery lifes and high performance.

So, these were common mistakes from Xiaomi while launching its Mi 6X. If you found out some more, then let us know in comments section!
