Steps To Fix OnePlus 5 Wi-Fi and Fingerprint Issue

Here are the steps to fix OnePlus 5 Wi-Fi and fingerprint. But before proceeding with it,


  • Ensure your device has full battery charge to avoid any interruption due to battery shortage.
  • This process only works on a OnePlus 5 device with root access.
  • You must install latest TWRP on your device.


Steps to fix Fingerprint and Wifi of OnePlus 5

Step-1 Switch off your device.

Step-2 Press Vol down + Power button together to enter recovery mode.

Step-3 Connect your phone to PC using the micro USB cable.

Step-4 From your PC run the following commands to fix OnePlus 5 Wi-Fi and fingerprint issue.

C:> adb shell
~ # rm /data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf
~ # rm -rf /data/system/users/0/fpdata
~ # rm /data/system/users/0/settings_fingerprint.xml

Step-5 After executing the commands reboot to the system.

Note:-  You can also perform all the file management operations using TWRP's file manager (in the "Advance" section). The commands can be run directly on the phone using TWRP's terminal.
