Xiaomi Mi A1 has backlight on its capacitive touch buttons and believe it or not, it is a wonderful feature. At night, while you are using your smartphone inside your blanket, at that point of time, you would have felt the need of backlight in those capacitive buttons. But they consume battery, however, they are not the primary source of battery draining problem but still, if you have that problem and your are irritated with those backlight, you can turn it off. Here, I'm going to tell you how you can do so. Follow all the steps very carefully:
The Xiaomi Mi A1 should have root access.
The device should be running on Android Nougat or Oreo Operating System.
This tutorial is exclusively for Mi A1. Don't try it on other devices.
You have to download and install SELinuxModeChanger to perform this mod.
